Owl Party Look Whoo’s Turning ONE

When my cousin in law, Lauren, contacted me to help her with this Look Whoo’s ONE theme; I was ecstatic!! I have always loved owls and was excited to finally get an OWL party up in the shop. I LOVE the use of bright colors, and of course, the cute little owls throughout the party. Michelle from Michelle Travis Photography took some really cute pictures of the party details. I hung several different tissue poms and paper lanterns from the light fixture in order to create the beautiful chandelier. I used fishing line and just kept tying at different heights until it was full! I purchased the paper lanterns from Hobby Lobby and made the Tissue Poms. Here is a great How To tutorial by Darling Doodle Designs for easy Tissue Pom making! I used Tulle purchased by the yard to tie around the kitchen table chairs.

This was my first fabric banner to make, and was one of the quickest projects from this party set up. Pick out the fabrics you want and then tear into pieces that are about a foot long. To tear fabric strips; start with a small scissor cut and then tear downward. You then find the middle of the fabric strip and tie it around the ribbon or yarn you are using. Continue until it is as full and long as you need! WahLah….You are finished!

I rented this over-sized floor frame from Emily over at Past Forward Photo Prop Rentals. It was the perfect way to greet guest with a large picture of the adorable birthday girl!!

I used glass apothecary and dome jars for the centerpiece of the seating table. I filled the apothecary jar with blue mints layering them to make an ombre effect. I filled clear cello bags with sixlets and attached a thank you tag with bakers twine to put inside of the dome jars. I made the cupcake stands out of items I purchased from Hobby Lobby. I used a pink candlestick holder for the base, and a wooden wall plaque for the top. The adorable owls were purchased from Michael’s and came in a white ceramic color. I then painted them and added rhinestones for the eyes.

The cake was made by Blue Bake Cakes! Didn’t she do a lovely job?!?!

All of the LOVELY cookies were made by my best friend, Alyssa from Bon Bon DuJour, as usual:-) She is so ridiculously talented and I absolutely LOVED what she created for me this time!

These vase filled centerpieces were an easy and adorable touch to the seating table! I purchased the clear vases at the Dollar Tree. I then filled them with shredded paper, wrapped with ribbon, and added a party logo to the center. I cut out an owl and a party circle (which come with the printable package) and attached them to painted dowel rods. I embellished with a few rhinestones and a feather!

These fondant cupcake toppers were created by Fondant Fantasy!

This fancy swirl frame is from Michael’s! Isn’t it just perfect?!?! It comes as unfinished wood and you can paint it whatever color you want! I chose white so that the color in the posters would really pop!

The precious Mom, Lauren, made this adorable 12 month banner for her sweet birthday girl, Scout! She also made the cute baby food jars full of skittles for the guest to take home.

Hello Sorry for the delay! My responses on this post did not go through for some reason. The outfit was ordered by the mom. I am not sure:-( I know you can find adorable owl outfits searching on etsy and I think that is where she ordered it. Thank you!!

Super Cute! Just purchased the printables and can’t wait for the party! What is that blue table runner made from?

Hi! I love the colors and the pictures. I was wondering if you can customize the wording so instead of using the package for a 1st birthday, I could use for a baby shower? The wording I was thinking of is either “Guess whooo is almost due” or “Guess whooo is coming soon”

Hello Amanda!! I used a tiny nail. But you can also use ULINE strips (sold at hobby lobby and other craft stores) they hold heavier items. Or I LOVE to use Command Strips!!
